E-District Mission Mode Project
E-District
e-District is one of the 31 Mission Mode Projects under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), with the DIT, GoI as the nodal ministry. The project supports the District Administration by enabling electronic delivery of high-volume citizen-centric services through backend computerization.
It leverages three key infrastructure pillars: State Wide Area Networks (SWAN), State Data Centers (SDC), and Common Service Centers (CSCs).
Pilot projects are active in 41 districts across 16 States, aimed at digitizing district- and taluk-level services, delivered sustainably via CSCs.
